Founder & Captain of Citation Sportfishing

Captain Gerrad Otto started fishing at a very young age and fished his first offshore trip at the age of 10. At that moment, he set out to start living his dream and working his way from the bottom – picking up fish for the fish cleaners to clean and washing and icing boats – until eventually he got the opportunity to start riding along on charter trips.

He got his first opportunity to start working on a boat at the age of 15, and since then he has traveled and become a well-rounded fisherman across many different fisheries. However, the Outer Banks kept calling him home.

It has always been a lifelong goal for Gerrad to own and run his own fishing charter business – and with that being said, he’d like to invite you aboard the Citation for some of the best offshore fishing the Outer Banks has to offer!
